The Artist Space Gallery is pleased to announce the opening of the third Still Life online Art Exhibition. Along with the selected artists, the jury selected award winners in the following art categories: best of show, painting and photography. The show displayed a variety of artistic styles and mediums: acrylic, oil, watercolor, ink, pencil, collage, ceramic, fabric thread, digital art and forged steel. Out of all submissions received 42 artworks were selected to be included in the exhibition.

Cher Pruys
Short Biography and Statement
Cher Pruys, ASAA SCA, IGOR, AAPL, CSAA, AMS, LMS, OSA, MAA, CFA, NOAPS, PSOA, AWA., AAOA. "To take my inner visions with my hands and create a work of art for you the viewer .... That is the ultimate in self-expression." Cher Pruys was born in Regina. Over the years she lived in many places including Saskatoon, Calgary, Edmonton, Ottawa, Fort Frances, settling into her present home in Devlin, on the banks of the Rainy River with her husband Mark, and pets. By age three, Cher was seldom found without a drawing tool in hand. She worked in pencil, charcoal and ink over the years, picking up a paintbrush at the age of 35. Beginning with oil paints, she found her chosen mediums in acrylic, watercolor and gouache, and her passion for hyperrealism. Although self-taught, her dedication and talent have seen her work juried into 1031 International exhibits. She has acquired 1572 awards for her work in the International Juried Exhibits. Short Biography and Statement
Håseth has been a full time artist for more than forty years. He has won several international awards for his acrylic paintings in contemporary realism style. Landscapes, seascapes and details (water, plants, stones, rock surfaces). The stones portrayed here were all found in a beach near North Cape in Norway.

Iryna Akimova
Short Biography and Statement
Iryna Akimova is a contemporary Ukrainian artist who lives and works in Kiev, Ukraine . She graduated from Kharkov State University (Ukraine), where she got her PhD degree. Her artworks are full of allegories and invite to a philosophical search of the hidden senses behind familiar objects. She develops expressionistic style with a surrealistic touch. She had 20 solo exhibitions, and took part in 200+ national and international group exhibitions. She received awards at many international art contests. Iryna is a member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine. She founded Ukrainian Association of Feminine Research in the Arts (UAFRA) to advocate gender equality in the arts. advocate gender equality in the arts. The artworks in the application represent her new cycle DYNAMIC STILL LIFE, where objects become dynamic. Wikipedia defines Still life is art that represents inanimate objects , mainly everyday items. “I never felt excited about still life , since I found it too static. Therefore, I invented “dynamic” still life with moving objects”, says Iryna. In her pictures, they feel free to move around, play their own games, make funny messes and tell their own stories. She invites the view to enter the world where everyday objects become alive. One could only guess what would be the final result of their moves. However, it is great to play with them in one’s imagination. The final composition might easily be changed like in the children’s kaleidoscope..

My works normally emerge from self-created projects, which are characterized by an important topic or a fascinating technique. Many projects run parallel over several years.
