The Artist Space Gallery is pleased to announce the opening of the fifth Nature online Art Exhibition. Along with the selected artists, the jury selected award winners in the following art categories: painting, sculpture and photography. The show displayed a variety of artistic styles and mediums: oil, acrylic, watercolor, photography, digital art, ceramic, ink, clay. Out of all submissions received 62 artworks were selected to be included in the exhibition.

Short Biography and Statement
Sono nato nel 1956 a Reggio Emilia, dove vivo e lavoro. Fin da piccolo ho manifestato una particolare propensione per il disegno e per la creatività in genere, a tal punto da caratterizzare le mie scelte professionali, anche se prettamente di carattere tecnico. Sono infatti titolare di uno studio tecnico di progettazione meccanica, e nel 2010 mi sono avvicinato alla pittura e all’arte in genere, in antitesi con l’impostazione propria della professione. La mia pittura e il mio modo di intendere l’arte, si ispira ai grandi maestri del passato, in primis Caravaggio, cercando però di reinterpretare i loro capolavori, utilizzando un taglio moderno e inserito nel contesto in cui viviamo. La figura umana si trova quasi sempre al centro delle mie composizioni e protagonista dell’opera stessa, fedele ad un realismo ricercato ma non esasperato o fine a se stesso, in equilibrio tra passato e presente. Vado inoltre orgoglioso dei numerosi riconoscimenti e attestati ricevuti, sopratutto in questi ultimi anni, segno di apprezzamento e stima di critica e pubblico. Ho presentato la mia produzione artistica prevalentemente in collettive locali e nazionali, mettendomi spesso in discussione e a confronto in concorsi internazionali. Alcune delle mie opere sono presenti in collezioni private, soprattutto all’estero, Stati Uniti e Germania in particolare.

Short Biography and Statement
Michelle Grant is a Canadian realist artist whose work is inspired by wildlife, horses, landscape, and the natural world. Working primarily in oil, acrylic, and graphite, she draws much of her subject matter from her own photography and firsthand experiences in places ranging from Alberta’s wild horse country to Sable Island and Mongolia. A professional artist since 1994, Michelle is a graduate of the Alberta College of Art and has received recognition for both her fine art and design work. Her paintings and drawings explore realism, movement, character, and the fleeting moments she encounters in nature. My work is inspired by animals, landscape, travel, and the fleeting moments I encounter along the way. Using my own photography and firsthand experiences as reference, I work in oil, acrylic, and graphite, exploring realism through light, movement, character, and expressive mark-making. My goal is to create work that reflects not only what I see, but what compelled me to stop and look in the first place.

Yu Hsuan Hua’s creative core revolves around the “essence of the soul.” For her, artistic creation is not merely a form of expression but also a translation of emotions and a flow of energy. Ceramics allow her to materialize inner feelings, making thoughts and emotions visible and tangible. Her inspiration often stems from everyday experiences—whether natural scenery, social phenomena, or personal emotions—which are distilled and transformed into an artistic language within her imagination. Each piece is meticulously crafted and thoughtfully composed, weaving form and color to reveal a unique narrative and vitality.

My work is inspired by a lifelong love of animals and the quiet moments we often overlook. Through the lens, I aim to honour their presence, personality, and grace, capturing not just what is seen, but what is felt. Each image is an exploration of patience and respect, allowing the natural world to reveal itself in its own time. By combining my artistic eye with my passion for wildlife, I hope to create photographs that encourage others to pause, reflect, and appreciate the beauty that shares our world.
