After graduating, Eric returned to San Francisco, where he worked as an architectural real estate photographer before moving to Los Angeles. His recent black and white exhibitions have focused on high contrast, urban cityscapes which portray an eerie sense of peace and tranquility. Salomé Marivoet is an Portuguese visual artist living in Lisbon, Portugal. She completed the Course of Painting of the Portuguese National Society of Fine Arts. PhD in Sociology with an academic career, she has presented her artistic works in collective and individual exhibitions, since 2001. "Curricula #1-2" is an upcycling of my physical curriculum of academic career. The pieces highlight the action in the world, in an internal and external construction of spiral. From the transposition of the countless steps, highlighted in the artwork #2, something more subtle can be seen when observing the piece #1. The use of the classic floppy disk form is intended precisely to reinforce the idea of dematerialisation or subtilisation of the act performed.

John Diephouse

Short Biography and Statement

instagram.com/jhdiephouse

I am a self-taught photographer and digital collage artist and am attracted to a wide variety of subjects ranging from natural landscapes, botanicals and wildlife to images that provide either abstract expression or social commentary. I am interested in sharing images that evoke a story of some kind. Images may be simply documentary, reflect a sense of time and place, or resonate on a more abstract level of color, shape or form. Others provoke an indefinable question that does not readily yield answers without further study and reflection. Most recently I have begun exploring digital collages as a means of expression. I have exhibited widely and have earned recognition in local, regional, and national exhibitions. My photographs are also included in several corporate and private collections.
