Linda McCord

Short Biography and Statement

lindamccord.com

I pose my models as if they are for still life paintings. In this way I am totally focused on composition. By doing interiors I have control over the light source, and it can come from various sources which makes it more challenging and exciting to paint. I love light and shadow and the way the light forms to make various shapes. It is these shapes that I focus on in my work. I use mathematical concepts rather than emotion in my work. Linda McCord works in most of the two-dimensional mediums. She was a gallery owner for 10 years, and taught painting and printmaking at her local college. Although self-taught, he has taken numerous international awards, and her art in the collection of museums, churches, hospitals, and colleges. She is a signature member of International Society of Acrylic Painters, Northwest Watercolor Society, Georgia Watercolor Society and California Watercolor Association. McCord’s work has been described as abstract realism. She focuses on light and shadow, composition, and value change. She adapted a method of building layers of paint using resist processes she learned as a printmaker. McCord says, “I design my art around mathematical concepts rather than emotion.”Singapore. Zhiheng Gong is a multimedia artist, mainly engaged in sculpture, installation, video, projection projection and other art media. The media involved include wood, acrylic board, foam, resin, metal and so on. His recent works present the small details of life, presenting these details with reality in an abstract form, breaking down the barriers between nothingness and substance. His works are dominated by deconstruction and asymmetry, emphasizing that each angle has its own unique appearance, attracting the audience to observe and think about the work from multiple angles. In this way, zhiheng's artwork is deeply concerned with the human heart itself and slow-paced culture; hoping to give the audience a relaxing experienceand much more that sculpturally merge with color and shape in a different way of  my other sculptures in alabaster and bronze, which also represent the universal experiences that surround us.

Quinn M Miller

Short Biography and Statement

qmillerphotography.com

Quinn Miller was born and raised in Clewiston, FL. He discovered his love for photography during middle school when exposed to the work of Erik Johansson. This led him to pursuing an education in the arts, where he found himself at South Florida Community College and Florida Gulf Coast University, attaining a Bachelor's in the Arts. He currently resides in Lake Worth, FL and teaches art at the High School level. "As a kid, I always wanted superpowers. Who didn't? My TV screen was flooded with images of X-men and the Justice League. What power would I get? That naivety eventually propelled me to fall in love with photography, my very first superpower: the ability to freeze time with the click of a single button. Eventually, I unlocked another superpower: Photoshop. I was able to bend reality to match the daily ideas that swarmed my head. As a narrator, I can manipulate the story you see before you to manifest my own, even though before that, it had its own. Oftentimes, I use the inquiry of, 'What do thoughts of stress, depression, anxiety, and so on look like as tangible scenes?' My style relies on surreal elements, and the incorporation of obscured faces to promote the idea of anonymity so that viewers can insert themselves into the images."
